Ultimate Packing Guide for a 9-Day Cruise to Mexico
TRAVEL
The Essentials
Packing for a 9-day cruise to Mexico can be quite the challenge to ensure you have everything you need without busting your suitcase or going over the 50lb weight limit. I started with creating outfits for each day that I knew would be comfortable and realistic. A few pairs of light shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses, and various swim suits since I am a poolside girly. I also made sure to pack things that I am most likely to forget, such as my vitamins for the week, my cold cap, Dramamine and ear patches for nausea, and all the chargers. I have a few travel chargers that I don't leave home without that I would highly recommend snagging for your next trip.

Toiletries
Probably the section I'm best at packing. I have a travel toiletry bag that I keep stocked for all my vacations with medicines, my skin care, shampoo & conditioner, etc. But the most important part to remember for a cruise is to ensure you have ENOUGH of all of those things to last 9 days - including your toothbrush charger. I also keep things like a jewelry cleaning brush, tinted moisturizer and eye masks in case I don't sleep well. I'd also recommend bringing some type of debloat supplement to support your digestion while you're away. The one I can't travel without is linked here
Entertainment
While the cruise ship will have a variety of activities and entertainment I would recommend bringing along some personal entertainment for the longer sea days. A good book, e-reader, or tablet can be perfect for relaxing by the pool. A camera and tripod might be helpful to fully document your experience. I'd also recommend a deck of cards or any small, easy to pack game for everyone.
Formal and Special Occasion Attire
Many cruises include formal nights or special events where more elegant attire is required. Be sure to pack at least one formal outfit, like a cocktail dress or sport coat, to enjoy these events. And don't forget your accessories, like necklaces and earrings to dress up your outfit.

Excursion Gear & Ports
If you plan on participating in excursions during your stops in Mexico, you’ll likely need specific gear. This could include comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and a small backpack for day trips. I would also recommend planning out your outfits before putting them in your suitcase, whether you have an excursion or not, so you know what you'll be wearing at each stop and to avoid overpacking.

Pool Necessities
Most importantly, don't forget your essentials for laying by the pool. A nice beach bag for all your sunscreen, comfortable slides and sunglasses will be necessary. We care about our skin these days, so I would also recommend a tinted moisturizer and face sunscreen to really help protect from those rays.
