Welcome to Wine Country

When you think about going to wine country, you probably automatically think of Napa. So let me introduce you to a new region! In my opinion, it is just as beautiful, has tons of hidden gems, and is way more budget friendly than the east side. Home to more than 425 wineries, the county offers an array of unique experiences and excellent wine. So this is my run down for top 10 wineries and tasting rooms in Sonoma county for your next trip!

Wineries vs. Tasting Rooms

Before we dive into the list, it's important to understand the distinction between wineries and tasting rooms to best plan your trip and photo opportunities. A winery is a facility where wine is produced, aged, and often bottled. Going to a winery typically means you can access tours of the vineyards and production areas, learn about wine making, and do a full tasting. Basically, this is where the vineyards are and where you're going to get your next instagram post. On the other hand, a tasting room is a space typically found in town, and is walking distance from other shops and likely other tasting rooms. You will still taste wine here, just not among the vineyards. So here are all the stops I think you should add to your next trip... (in no particular order)

2. Jordan Vineyard & Winery (winery): A French-inspired winery celebrated for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, with stunning views and elegant tastings.
