What to Wear to a Kentucky Derby Party!

Going to a Kentucky Derby party or THE Kentucky Derby itself?! It can be so stressful to find the right outfit because everyone is dressing to the nines. In 2024 I won tickets to the Kendall Jackson Kentucky Derby party in Santa Rosa and was stressed to find the perfect fit, but really it was simple. A cute dress, fun hat and a coat in case of rain. Bright colors, preppy pieces and lots of floral patterns were throughout the party. Here are all my tips to take the stress out of it!

• Pick a bright, fun color that you feel confident in!

• Grab a fun hat or fascinator from Amazon or make one with florals from your local craft supply store. Shop mine here

• Pick a dress or outfit that you wouldn't normally wear. Half the fun in the parties is stepping out of your comfort zone and into a stylish 'fit!

Kendall Jackson's Kentucky Derby Party

If you're attending the Kentucky Derby Party at Kendall Jackson (which I highly recommend), come hungry because there are some of the best local Sonoma County spots there serving up their delicious dishes. Make sure to stop by Grata's booth for the most mouth watering italian food. Grab a glass of chardonnay or cabernet Sauvignon and find yourself a table near the stage! Kendall Jackson is the host of the largest Kentucky Derby party on the west coast, as they are the official wine of the Kentucky Derby itself, and they know how to throw a party. Enter in for the best dressed contest, get a caricature drawn or place your bets on the horses and enjoy the atmosphere!
